Busy Boris – June 2017

 

Boris will enjoy a whirlwind schedule during June 2017.

 

On May 31 he addresses business leaders of MAXAM International in Valencia, Spain.

 

June 6th at the Maison Symphonique, Montreal, Brott conducts an expanded McGill Chamber Orchestra in the closing Gala of the season featuring Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. Guest artists include Soprano Adriana Chuchman, Tenor John Mac Master and Baritone Theodore Berg with the St. Lawrence Choir. On June 9th Boris will address the Development Kickoff of  UMBC in Baltimore together with musicians of the UMBC Symphony.

June 11 through 13 Boris will be in London , England to record Mozart’s two and three piano concerti for Somme Records with the Royal Philharmonic orchestra and pianists Valerie Tryon, Mishka Rushdie Momen and Peter Donahoe.

June 14 finds Boris in Los Angeles addressing business leaders and clients of Epsilon

June 21 Boris is back in Waterdown for the opening of  Brott Music Festival’s 30th anniversary at St Thomas the Apostle Church, Waterdown; the program entitled Triumph of the Spirit includes works by Srul Irving Glick and Mozart’s Requiem featuring the National Academy Orchestra  with Soprano: Tessa Laengert, Mezzo-Soprano: Michèle Bogdanowicz, Tenor: Ernesto Ramirez, Daniel Lichti: Bass-Baritone and the Brott Chorus.

June 29 at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, the Brott Festival continues with Terrific Tchaikovsky. Program includes Tchaikovsky’s first Piano Concerto with soloist Ian Parker Airat Ichmouratov’s Youth Overture and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 the Pathetique. 

June finishes off with a third BMF concert at Hamilton’s Bay City Music Hall–Hot Jazz on the Water–featuring the Dominic Mancuso Group on June 30th.
